Suddenly, the room goes dark and your gaze is drawn upwards to a row of giant-sized monitors forming a kind of media reel beneath the ceiling. A thrilling scene from an international game comes into view with the original TV commentary:

We see Horst Hrubesch soar through the air as only he could to head the ball to Klaus Fischer in a central position in front of the opposition goal, and he produces a spectacular overhead kick to fire it past Jean-Luc Ettori into the net. Germany versus France in the 1982 World Cup semi-final. An extra-time equaliser to make it 3-3. A magic moment! One of many at the German Football Museum.
